I have updated both the Screen Print and Print sections. I have recently taken an interest in transcendental meditation. Things appear to be perpetually looking up. In case you don’t know, Funwunce has launched a Tumblr Site which can be located and followed en masse’ HERE. I recently got hired to do the cover of a print publication that gets distributed in the Houston Chronicle (Houston’s main newspaper) of the great Daniel Johnston, because I fucking BLEW MINDS with the poster I did for his birthday (which can be cautiously viewed HERE). Also, I have been hired to do posters for both the upcoming Cradle of Filth and Glassjaw Houston dates. I am almost finished with the Cradle of Filth poster and I fear its unleashing will warrant global exorcisms. This piece is heavy…like Slayer-heavy…like if the apocalypse was made of lead-heavy. As for the Glassjaw poster, I re-downloaded “Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence” (their first album which I was probably TOO into during my high school years), and I am amazed at what I considered acceptable songwriting at one point. Not that it’s a bad album, it’s just very much catered to a particular age that I don’t happen to be anymore. I definitely dig the singer’s lyrics about Crohn's disease though. That’s some real shit!

Speaking of following things “en masse’”…we’re only one year away from the big whatever the fuck is supposed to happen.

Speaking of whatever the fuck is supposed to happen, the image above is a map of “Inner Earth”. Apparently, the Nazi’s amongst a whole slew of US military and government officials think it’s a real place and spent millions of dollars of taxpayers money investigating it’s existence. What do you think?

Story3

New prints for Deakin, Golden Axe, Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, The Gaslight Anthem up in the Shop PLUS a new Devendra Banhart poster with 2 color variations! One (“Drug Charlie” as it’s lovingly referred to) had colors for the print chosen by the legendary Jermaine Rogers and the other was the original color scheme we had in mind for the print. Nonetheless, there is a bunch of new stuff out and about that I’ve been working on. Particularly, if you have Cartoon Network, MAD (of Mad magazine, MadTV fame) have a new cartoon show that airs throughout the week. I have been fortunate enough to work under the direction of animator Michael Wartella. Also, if you haven’t already seen it all over Pitchfork and Spin, the Funwunce directed video for LCD Soundsystem’s “Home” is pretty much making the rounds like Mr. October so try and check that out.

New Posters for Caribou, Japanther, and the Museum of Printing History in the Screen Print section

Funwunce finished all the animation for the Death Pedal 2 DVD. Death Pedal is still having premieres around the US and are selling DVDs of the video so I imagine I won’t be able to post any of it on-line. I suggest you just go pick it up anyway because everyone that rides on the video has their shit DIMED and the animation we provided for it will pump the media filth from your stomach’s heart.

Also, Volume Bikes and Demolition Parts had me design some new t-shirts and bike frames/ accessories. I posted a few of the t-shirt designs in the Apparel/Screen Print section. Volume as well had me design the graphics for their 10 yr anniversary “Destroyer” 20” BMX frame and new graphics for their “Thrasher” Fixed Gear Frame/Accessories. Volume makes some awesome bicycles and I suggest anyone that’s “into that kind of thing” get deece enough at riding to get a sponsorship from those guys because they are hooking Eric Puckett up FAT right now.

OH YEAH! In other Funwunce news, we will actually have a booth at SXSW’s Flat Stock Poster Convention this year held in the Austin Convention Hall. Try and stop by and we’ll have plenty of tales to riddle your warbler and shirts of Death Jordan. I’m going to have a bunch of posters for sale there as well so if you’ve ever wanted one, this will be the best chance to complain at my face about inconsistencies in your print.

Visit Funwunce to get got so fucking good

Happy 2010 everyone. New stuff in almost every section of the site. Notably, new posters for The Sword and Noah and the Whale are added to the Screen Print section as well as the Winning T Shirt design I submitted for the Volume Bikes design contest.

I should have a Web Store up soon where I will be posting up posters, shirts, and whatever I’ve made that I have back stocks of.

Also, in video related news, Funwunce is working on putting together animations for the new Death Pedal 2 fixed gear bicycle video. So far this is some of the most disgusting stuff we’ve done–zits popping, knives cutting up muscles, intestines being smashed by bricks–all the good stuff.
Feel free to check out Funwunce as well because a bunch of cool stuff has been posted up that we’ve all busted our third eyes on.

More soon

It has been a month of POSTERS! I don’t know exactly how many I’ve done this month but, all the computer and light table time I’ve been afforded, should now necessitate me getting glasses. SCORE! Juuust waitin on my piece of that Healthcare pie Obama! BLAST IT INTO MY MOUTHWALLET SO I CAN FIX MY TEETH AND SEE!!!

I have new artwork posted for the southern titan known as WESTHEIMER BLOCK PARTY a little festival we -artistically ignored- folk down here in Houston do about twice a year to get everybodys gettins while they’re good! I have served as Art Director for the festival for the last 4 years or so and am very excited to announce it’s birthing this Fall of 2009th year of one trillion. Over 250 bands, 50 plus-something local and regional artists, fucking madhouse on the 300-500 block of downtown Westheimer. I designed the new poster for the Fall 09 festival based on Kali-Ma, creator and destroyer in Hindu, and kind of re-interpreted that into modern affairs, regarding current financial and political status’ of all-worlders. Its in the Apparel and Screen print section. Also, I believe there is a poster for Surfer Blood posted in the Print section.

New videos in the works forrrrrr:
Young Mammals
Chll Pll
Leg Sweeper

STAYYYYY TUNED!!!!!

I posted the video for the Black Moth Super Rainbow song “Tooth Decay”, off their second album, “Eating Us”. Mark Armes, Topher Henry, plus a few other people and myself, worked with PFFR(Wonder Showzen, Xavier: Renegade Angel) on this one and we think it came out super awesome. They basically gave us the funniest story we’ve ever read, some strange vagina-looking alien art, and we animated it into what you will see in the Video section.

Alot has happened in a month.
Funwunce (Mark Armes, Topher Henry, and I’s) slayer group has finished the Black Moth Super Rainbow video and now its in the golden goldy gold hands of the interbeast. PFFR should be applying sticky all over it right now and it should be up for everyone’s delicious delight sometime in the next week or so.

Also, I have posted three new designs. One is for good friends, An Albatross, from Pennsylvania, who hit me up to do their second tour shirt for the year of 2009!! Stoked!!! Anyway, I got Topher Henry to collaborate on it with me because his pen and ink work and attention to detail is fucking incredible. We bumped mind-ginas and this is what were birthed.

Second, I posted two new posters in the Print section. One is for the Queers (the old school pop punk band) and the other is for Why?. Both I think came out great. The Queers poster is a throwback to their usage of a Felix the Cat style character in their artwork through their career. Playing on the term “Go Pop” HARDY FUCKIN HAR. The Why? poster was hand drawn then re-drawn as icy cleanbird vector shapes at will rule you like Tony Robbins teeth.

More soon.

PS The photo at the top is a something I’d like to call ‘Where the fuck ARE THESE KINDS OF FACEBOOK PHOTOS?! Wisen up kids. This is the real shit right here.”

Okely Dokely!

New artwork for Busdriver and Monotonix added to the Print section.

Also, posted some new links of some friends of mine in the Links section— Be sure to go check out the links section as well to see if you’re in there, if not, email me and ask me why that is. Otherwise, check out some of the links, as they are all friends of mine and are providing amazing creative bursts to the world.

Still trying to wrap on the Black Moth Super Rainbow video…. more on that soon.

The photo at the top contains a being known as “Lee Powers”–this being is at least level 3 mind-melder and will steal your girlfriend in 12 dimensions at once if you put him on a bicycle. “Lee Powers” founded the Freemasons before he was even born.
This being is very much like the “Ziggy Stardust” character in David Bowie’s pinnacle album “Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars”, as he is an alien sent to Earth to teach us about love and “the groove”. “Lee Powers” is going to one day be a star and this picture is my proof of contact with said being.
